Quality Engineer Job #2819 Cleveland/Akron, Ohio
Compensation: $55,000 - $70,000 per year.
Requirements:
• A BS Degree in an engineering related field DESIRED and 2+ years of experience, or an Associates degree with minimum of 5 years experience.
• Six sigma Green Belt certification desired
• In depth working knowledge of:
? PFMEA
? Control Plans
? Capability studies & SPC
? MSA
? PPAP/FPA process
? Solid statistical skills
• Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, and function specific software.
Position Responsibilities:
• Develop a comprehensive knowledge of all DES customer specific requirements as related to APQP and PPAP/FPA
• Lead the customer approval process for new products (APQP, PPAP, FPA, FAI)
• Champion the implementation and standardization of PFMEA's and Control Plans for products across the organization
• Hands on management of the customer submission process ensuring compliance to all specific requirements are achieved
• Lead efforts across teams to ensure customer CTQ's are captured and controlled with validated methods
• Be a leader with Statistical Process Control (SPC), including the training and development of others
• Establish robust methods and processes to validate effective MSAs are completed on all tools verifying product quality
• Create and train to standard work as required for new product launches to enhance effective capability and understanding
• Understand field returns and corrective actions to incorporate lessons learned into the APQP process of next generation products
• Ensures that products conform to established company and regulatory standards through effective management of product audits
• Lead and/or participate in quality process improvement projects through use of lean (ELS) manufacturing concepts and six sigma tools
